Privacy policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026. I'm Alex, and this is my website. This page explains, in plain English, what details I hold and why.
When you ask me for a quote
When you fill in the quote form I store your name, phone number, email address (if you give it), address, postcode, the service you need and any message you add. I use these to price the work, contact you about the job, and remind you when your gutters are next due a clear. I don't use your details for anything else, and I never sell or share them with anyone else.
Cookies and advertising
I advertise on Google. To find out whether my adverts bring in phone calls and quote requests, my site uses Google's advertising measurement cookies (run by Google LLC, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). These cookies record that you arrived from an advert and what you did on the site — for example, sending a quote request. Google may combine this with its own data under its own policies.
If you visit from the UK, the EU or another country that asks first, a small banner asks for your permission before these cookies are used. If you say no — or don't answer — the advertising cookies stay off. Saying no doesn't change anything about your quotes or my service.
You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or clear cookies in your browser.
Payments
If you pay a deposit or balance online, the payment is processed by Stripe Payments UK Ltd. They handle your card details — I never see or store your card number. I keep a record of what you've paid against your job.
How long I keep things
Quote enquiries I don't quote for are kept for up to 12 months. Job records, quotes and payment records are kept for 7 years, as sole traders must keep business records for HMRC. You can ask me to delete anything that isn't a tax record.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me at info@rooflineguttercare.co.uk or call 01522 444 846 and I'll sort it. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data you can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
