Gutter, fascia & soffit cleaning in Lincoln
If your white uPVC has gone green and streaky, this is the job that fixes it. I clear the gutters first, then wash the gutter faces, fascias and soffits back to a clean finish — carefully, with uPVC-safe products rather than a pressure washer.

What's included
- Gutters cleared out and flushed through
- Gutter faces washed down inside and out
- Fascia boards cleaned of algae, grime and cobwebs
- Soffits cleaned, including vents and joints
- Downpipes wiped down and checked for flow
- Any loose brackets or slipped joints reported to you with photos
Gutter clearance
The practical job — emptying the gutters and downpipes so rainwater goes where it should. Best done every year. See gutter clearance.
Full gutter, fascia & soffit clean
Everything the clearance covers, plus washing the outside of the roofline so the green staining comes off. This is the one that visibly transforms the front of a house — most people have it done every two to three years.
Full gutter, fascia & soffit replacement
If the timber behind the fascia is rotten or the guttering is cracked beyond repair, I can remove the old roofline and fit new white uPVC. See replacement.
Common questions
- What's the difference between a clearance and a full clean?
- A gutter clearance empties the inside of the gutter so the water flows away properly. A full clean does that too, then washes the outside — the gutter face, the fascia board and the soffit underneath — so the green algae and road grime come off and the roofline looks white again.
- Will it damage my uPVC?
- No. I use soft brushing and appropriate uPVC-safe cleaning solution rather than blasting everything with a pressure washer, which is what causes pitting and streaking on older plastic.
- How long does the green staining stay away?
- On most Lincolnshire homes you'll get a good couple of years before it starts to come back, though north-facing elevations and anything under trees will green up sooner.
- Can you do it at the same time as a gutter clearance?
- Yes, and that's the sensible way to do it. Combining the two on one visit costs less than booking them separately because I'm only setting up once.
- Do you clean conservatory roofs and cladding too?
- Often, yes — just mention it when you request your quote and I'll include it in the price.
